Running Back
The Bills running backs, Devin Singletary and Zack Moss, got off to a rough start in this game as both running backs appeared to suffer injuries on the opening drive. Then on the team’s second drive, Moss mistimed the handoff and fumbled the ball from Josh Allen.
However, after that start, Devin Singletary became the featured back and put together a good game tied for his season-high in carries with 18 for 61 yards while adding three receptions for 22 yards. As for Zack Moss, he finished with three carries for nine yards and one reception for five yards.
While these stats won’t jump off the box score, this is exactly what this offense needs. The team just needs the threat of a run game that forces defenses to respect it enough that they can’t drop seven or eight players into coverage.
If Singletary, and hopefully eventually Moss, can continue producing like this it will help the offense continue to play like this.
