Let’s take a closer look at the odds, lines, and trends for the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.

The Buffalo Bills secured an impressive win after the bye last week in defeating the Los Angeles Chargers. In doing so they also covered the spread, but unfortunately, the over did not cash. That brings the season totals to 6-5 against the spread (ATS) and 8-3 in cashing the over as well as the moneyline. While last week the team was favorites they will return to a familiar role under the Sean McDermott era as they will be underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers.

With the sportsbooks across the country locking in on spreads and totals for the NFL Week 13, the Action Network is reporting the spread to be Bills +1 with the over set at 47 points currently.

Adding a twist to the trends that we will analyze is the fact this game will take place during prime-time on Monday Night Football. Let’s analyze this week’s numbers and see how similar numbers have played out over the past few seasons versus the 49ers.

Buffalo Bills’ trends under head coach Sean McDermott

The 2020 Bills have been underdogs three times this season going 1-2 in those games. The spread and over however check-in at 2-1. They have hit the road five times winning three of those games. While the over has cashed an impressive four times the spread is only 2-3.

The Bills versus the NFC conference is 9-5-1 ATS and the over is 7-8. When playing an NFC team as underdogs the spread is 6-3 with the over 4-5.

Playing in primetime under McDermott has occurred seven times. Included in that is the 2019 Thanksgiving tilt against the Dallas Cowboys even though it wasn’t played at night. Of those seven games, the Bills have won two of them. ATS is 2-4-1 and the over is 3-4.

San Francisco 49ers trends under head coach Kyle Shanahan

Since 2017, the 49ers are 29-29-1 ATS and 30-28-1 on the over. Playing at home the team is 11-17-1 ATS and 16-13 on the over. As home favorites, they are 4-10-1, but the over is 10-5.

Shanahan’s team has been quite successful versus the AFC conference. Of the 15 games, they have 10 wins. The spread is 10-4-1 with the over 8-7. Versus the AFC has home favorites they have three wins in four games with the spread 1-2-1 and the over is 2-2.
