This is the injury report for the Buffalo Bills first practice of the week.

While the Buffalo Bills did practice on Wednesday, the first injury report they had to release was on Thursday. This was due to the fact that they play on Monday night this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

The good news is that while the first injury report this week was a day later than usual, it was a good report for all things considered. The only player on the Bills who did not practice was defensive end Mario Addison.

However, this isn’t too concerning as the coaching staff has typically given the veteran at least one day off during the week.

The Bills had three players who were limited however the reason Jake Fromm is limited is that he is the emergency quarterback if there ever was a COVID-19 outbreak in the quarterback room. This would ensure the Buffalo Bills would not run into the same issue the Denver Broncos did this past week.

In addition, the Bills had Reggie Gilliam and Taiwan Jones limited due to hamstring injuries and this is worth monitoring. The reason is that both players are key parts of the special teams unit and if either were to miss this week it would be a big loss.

There are two names that won’t appear on the injury report but that fans are certainly interested in knowing about and that is linebackers Matt Milano and Tyrel Dodson. The reason is that both players were designated to return but still technically on injured reserve. For that reason, the team doesn’t need to include them on the injury report.

As Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News tweeted, Milano was on the practice field Thursday which is a good sign. The hope is that he will be able to return for this week’s game with the San Francisco 49ers.
