Winning against better teams

One of the biggest criticisms of the way the Buffalo Bills got to 7-3 was that they hadn’t beaten any good teams over the course of the first 10 games last year. While they are not able to control the teams they played, there were questions about whether they were as good as their record reflected.

This year though the Bills have had seven of their 10 games against teams that have six or more wins already this season. In those seven games, the Bills have a winning record with a record of 4-3. Last year, the Bills played only one team with six or more wins through the first 10 games, the New England Patriots, which they lost.

While there is certainly room for improvement, the Buffalo Bills have clearly positioned themselves atop the AFC. More importantly, they are a team that appears to have been tested and come playoff time should feel good about securing their first playoff win since the 1995 season.
