Who starts at cornerback?
Another position that seems to be a game of musical chairs has been the cornerback position opposite Tre’Davious White. This season, the Bills have seen three players start there with Levi Wallace to start the season, Josh Norman replace him when Wallace suffered an injury, go back to Wallace with rookie Dane Jackson getting a few starts in there as well.
Wallace and Norman were on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and the hope is they will be back in time for next week’s game. If they are able to return, who gets the start? While Wallace and Norman have started most of the year, there is a strong case that Dane Jackson has been the best player of the group as he has 12 tackles, three passes defended, one interception, and a fumble recovery in two starts. The Bills also did just add veteran Daryl Worley last week who could be a factor down the stretch.
If the team decides that Jackson and Worley are the answer, they would need to bring them up from the practice squad to the active roster. They do currently have a roster spot available with Del’Shawn Phillips being added to injured reserve over the weekend and his spot has yet to be filled.
This job seems pretty wide open and it will be worth noting who gets the start coming out of the bye.
