Buffalo Bills’ Best Play: Number 2

One of the most important plays in the game came in the fourth quarter with less than three minutes left when slot receiver Cole Beasley made a terrific one-handed catch at the sideline, keeping both feet in, to give the Bills an important first down and keep their drive alive.

On the play, the Bills were facing a third-and-four situation. If Beasley doesn’t go up to make this catch and get the four yards, the Bills might have been pressured to go for it on fourth down.

But Beasley, who has perhaps the surest hands on the club, allowed Buffalo to continue the drive, which ended with the touchdown pass to Diggs for the apparent game-winner until Kyler Murray played miracle man.

Buffalo Bills’ Best Play: Number 3

The Buffalo Bills turned to their bag of tricks to score their first TD of the game in the opening quarter.

Deep in Arizona territory, quarterback Josh Allen handed off to Isaiah McKenzie, who in turn faked a run to the right, then spun around and lofted a pass back against the grain to Allen. The big QB then turned north and waltzed into the end zone.

This type of gadget play can spark an offense and create momentum for the rest of the game. It didn’t turn out that way as the Cardinals eventually climbed back. Perhaps the Bills should resist bringing out these gadget plays until the game is on the line for maximum effect.  But it still was a great play.
