Kyler Murray scrambling vs. Bills defense

This isn’t necessarily a player vs. player matchup but the team that wins here could be the deciding factor in Week 10. The Cardinals have one of the most explosive players in the NFL with Kyler Murray.

The former first round pick is unique in that he is one of the most prolific passers in the NFL but has a level of quickness and athleticism that isn’t regularly found at the position.

This scrambling ability of Murray, and whether or not he can pick up plays with his legs, could be the difference. However, it is going to have to be a team effort from this defense to make sure the Cardinals’ quarterback doesn’t have the chance to make those game-changing plays.

The Bills defense has done a good job in recent memory against mobile quarterbacks, most notably last week against Russell Wilson. However, they also had a tremendous gameplan to slow down Lamar Jackson last year, as the Ravens’ quarterback had one of the worst games of his MVP season.

It is going to take a team effort from the defensive line being mindful of gaps and setting the edge, from the linebackers filling in the running lanes and making the tackle to the players in the secondary collapsing on Murray. When the Cardinals quarterback escapes the pocket and becomes a runner, the Bills are going to need all 11 players pursuing and making the tackle.
