Buffalo Bills: Week 10 odds, lines and trends vs Arizona Cardinals
By Jason Mattis
These are the odds, lines, and trends for the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.
With the Buffalo Bills impressive home underdog win last week against the Seattle Seahawks they also covered the spread while cashing the over. That brings each of those records to 4-5 and 7-2 respectively. That was their fourth home underdog win under the Sean McDermott era and should give them confidence as they are once again ‘dogs in week 10.
With the sportsbooks across the country locking in on spreads and totals for the NFL Week 10, the Action Network is reporting the spread to be +2.5 with the over set at 56.5 points currently. This time though the big difference is the team is road ‘dogs as opposed to playing in the comforts of their own stadium.
Let’s analyze this week’s numbers and see how similar numbers have played out over the past few seasons versus the Arizona Cardinals.
Buffalo Bills’ trends under head coach Sean McDermott
Twenty times under the guidance of head coach McDermott has the team been road underdogs. In those games, they managed to win only eight of them. Covering the spread checks in at 11-7-2 and the over cashed in just five of them.
When the spread was within a field goal, +1 to +3, the team won two of those five games. Covering the spread is 2-2-1 with the over never cashing.
This week’s game is the run-up to the bye week. In the three seasons prior the Buffalo Bills was also on the road for each of those such games as underdogs as well. The team saw defeat in McDermott’s inaugural season against the Cincinnati Bengals, but since then responded in 2018 and 2019 with wins against the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. In those three games, the spread was covered twice with the over cashing once.
The team does carry an impressive 4-2 record and 5-1 record against the spread against NFC opponents on the road. However, the over hasn’t cashed in any of those games.
Arizona Cardinals trends under head coach Kliff Kingsbury
Albeit the sample size is small as Kliff Kingsbury has only been the head coach going into his second season in 2020 and the team has only been favorites six times. The Cardinals carry a 2-4 record in those six games in all three categories; money line, spread, and over.
Four of those six games came at home with the Cardinals only able to win one of them. That was in 2020 against the Washington Football Team. The three losses were against the Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, and Miami Dolphins. In those four games, the spread was covered once while the over cashed two times.
