Budda Baker

Last week, the Buffalo Bills faced off against a dynamic safety in Jamal Adams, and this week they face another in Budda Baker. He was a second-round pick by the Cardinals in 2017 became almost an immediate starter and was named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams as a rookie.

He is the type of player that can handle any of the responsibilities that come with playing safety, whether that is playing in the box or dropping back as a deep safety. In the past two seasons, he has had over 100 total tackles and is well on his way to surpass that total again this year.

One of the things that he has done well this year is shown an ability to force turnovers and already has two interceptions, compared to none his first three years in the league.

There is some question about whether the safety will play Sunday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday but practicing on a limited basis on Friday. If he is on the field, Budda Baker is one of the biggest playmakers on this defense and it will be important for Josh Allen to account for where he is at the start of every play, similar to what he had to do with Jamal Adams.
