The Buffalo Bills released their injury report for Week 10 on Friday.
The Buffalo Bills have one more game before their bye week in Week 11 and for the most part, it was one of their smaller injury reports recently. On Friday, the Bills had listed only four players with injury designations.
The Bills listed running back Taiwan Jones and backup linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips as out. This will be Jones’ second straight week that he has missed. As for Phillips, he was activated off injured reserve on Saturday, in a corresponding move with the placement of Matt Milano on injured reserve.
He played seven snaps in the game against the Seahawks, all on special teams, but did not practice on Wednesday due to a quad injury. He returned in a limited capacity on Thursday but didn’t practice on Friday.
The team also announced after the injury report that Phillips had been placed back on the injured reserve.
The more newsworthy designations are questionable for starting guard Cody Ford and starting safety Micah Hyde. Ford had missed Weeks 7 and 8 due to an injury and returned this past Sunday against the Seahawks. However, he suffered an ankle injury only 14 plays into the game and did not return.
He was not able to practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday and Friday. If he is not able to play, the likely scenario is that Jon Feliciano would step in at left guard. He had been playing center recently, due to Mitch Morse suffering a concussion against the Patriots. However, Morse has cleared the concussion protocol and will play this week.
The injury that is likely more concerning is the ankle injury for Micah Hyde. The team’s starting safety suffered the injury during Thursday’s practice and missed all of Friday’s practice. While it was a good sign to see him listed as questionable it seems like he may be a long shot to play.
If he is not able to play, Dean Marlowe would likely get the start in place of Hyde.
