Dean Marlowe

For only the second time since joining the Buffalo Bills, Micah Hyde was not able to play. He is a big part of this defense and a key leader so his absence was a big concern against the New England Patriots.

The team turned to Dean Marlowe, who is a long time backup but has not started many games in his career. The coaching staff had confidence in Marlowe and it paid off this past week against the New England Patriots.

He would go on to play every snap and finished with six total tackles, one tackle for a loss, and the key fumble recovery at the end of the game.

While Micah Hyde looks to be back this week after clearing concussion protocol, if the team needs to start Dean Marlowe or if he needs to play extended snaps, there shouldn’t be any concern about whether or not he can get the job done.
