The Buffalo Bills had eight players sit out practice on Wednesday.

The Buffalo Bills are preparing to play one of the toughest games on their schedule when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. It appears on Wednesday the focus for the team was to give players time to rest up ahead of this weekend by having eight players sit out on Wednesday.

Among the players who didn’t practice was starting center Mitch Morse who suffered a concussion on the third play of the game against the New England Patriots. Morse does have a history of concussion and he will need to go through the concussion protocol before being available to return.

Another player in the concussion protocol is starting safety Micah Hyde. He missed last week’s game against the Patriots but on Wednesday was limited. This is certainly a good sign that he is potentially moving through the steps of the protocol.

Among the starters who missed last week was Cody Ford, who actually has missed the past two weeks due to a knee injury. He also was able to return to the practice field on a limited basis. If he is not able to play, and Morse misses this week, the Bills likely will look to Ike Boettger to replace Ford while Jon Feliciano replaces Mitch Morse at the center position.

The other players who did not practice for the Bills were wide receiver John Brown, defensive ends Jerry Hughes and Darryl Johnson, running backs Taiwan Jones and T.J. Yeldon, linebacker Matt Milano and cornerback Josh Norman.

The Bills also had four other players limited outside of the players not previously mentioned which includes guard Brian Winters, defensive tackles Quinton Jefferson and Vernon Butler and quarterback Jake Fromm.

It will be worth watching which players are able to return to the practice field on Thursday and could be a good indicator of the severity of some of these injuries.
