These are the top takeaways from Week 8 for the Buffalo Bills in their win over New England Patriots.

For the first time since 2011, the Buffalo Bills were able to beat the New England Patriots at home. While this team looks vastly different from their last win, this is still a big win for the Buffalo Bills.

It starts to put the Patriots dominance behind them but more importantly they move to 6-2 on the season and 4-0 in the division. They are in a great position now to win their first AFC East division title since 1995.

This is probably the biggest takeaway this week is that the Buffalo Bills have moved from being considered a contender for the division to being the front runner. They have now beat every team in the division at least once and secured a winning record within the division which is used as a tiebreaker.

Unlike in past years, when the Buffalo Bills might need some help to secure a playoff spot they are in full control of their playoff destiny. This is a great feeling for this team knowing this already at only the midway point of the season.

These are some of the other takeaways from Week 8 for the Buffalo Bills in their 24-21 victory over the New England Patriots.
