As much as the Buffalo Bills will be tempted to lean on their pass game, and the temptation could be even greater with Stephon Gilmore ruled out for this game, they really need to get the run game going.

This may sound like a bit of a broken record but the importance of the run can’t be understated. It takes the pressure off Josh Allen, helps control the clock but more importantly makes the play action more believable. If defenses aren’t concerned about the run game, a fake handoff setting up the pass won’t have the same effect.

While Devin Singletary continues to get more snaps, this could be a good game for rookie Zack Moss. The start of the season was a bit stop and go after Moss suffered a toe injury that kept him out for a few weeks.

This past week though against the New York Jets, Zack Moss had the best game of his career with 47 rushing yards on seven carries for a 6.7 yards per carry. While he is viewed more like a bruiser, he showed some burst with a career-long run of 26 yards.

The New England Patriots have struggled against the run, and the Buffalo Bills should try and focus on getting Zack Moss going in this game.
