Josh Allen vs. Bill Belichick
The last matchup is on the other side of the ball as Josh Allen goes up against New England Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick. Similar to McDermott, Bill Belichick’s expertise is on the defensive side of the ball and through Allen’s first three games against the Patriots he has been able to scheme a defense that limits the Bills’ quarterback’s impact.
In three career games, Allen has completed only 48.4% of his passes, 192 passing yards per game with three passing touchdowns and five interceptions. He also has only 99 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown in those three games.
Josh Allen this season, outside of the two games against the Titans and Chiefs, has looked vastly improved. He has improved his accuracy and completing close to 70% of his passes. He also has thrown for over 300 yards in four of the first seven games with 16 passing touchdowns and four interceptions.
This will be a pivotal game for the Buffalo Bills in Week 8 but also an important one for Josh Allen to show his development is legitimate and not just short term.
