The Buffalo Bills ruled two players out for Week 8.
The Buffalo Bills announced their injury report on Friday for Week 8 against the New England Patriots and ruled two starters out for this week’s game. For the second straight week both cornerback Josh Norman and left guard Cody Ford will miss due to injuries.
Josh Norman started the year on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury but after three games, two of which were starts, he suffered another hamstring injury. This past week the team turned to rookie Dane Jackson, who played well in his place. The team will have few more options this week as Cam Lewis could be available as he is questionable.
The Bills also potentially could elevate Levi Wallace off injured reserve, who they designated for return earlier this week, as a possible replacement.
At left guard, the Buffalo Bills will also have options as they elevated Jon Feliciano off injured reserve earlier this week. Last year’s starting right guard has missed the first seven weeks due to a pec injury suffered at the start of the training camp.
If Feliciano is fully cleared he would make sense to be Ford’s replacement however if he is limited, the Bills will turn to Ike Boettger for the second straight week.
In addition, the Bills listed six players as questionable with the most surprising being starting safety Micah Hyde. He has missed every practice this week due to a concussion, which usually indicates that he has not cleared the protocol. However, his questionable listing means there is a chance he is available this week.
Another player worth watching is defensive tackle Vernon Butler. The starting defensive tackle was limited on Wednesday but did not practice Thursday or Friday. This typically indicates that he won’t play but worth watching leading up to game time.
