These are the inactives for the Buffalo Bills in Week 7 against the New York Jets.

The Buffalo Bills knew they were entering this game without four starters and one key backup as they ruled wide receiver John Brown, left guard Cody Ford, cornerback Josh Norman, tight end Dawson Knox and linebacker Tyrel Dodson out on Friday.

That list grew to include at least one more player on Saturday as Lee Smith was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list along with Tommy Sweeney, who was on the PUP list, and Nate Becker, who was on the practice squad.

In addition to the players that were ruled out on Friday, the Buffalo Bills also have quarterback Jake Fromm, running back T.J. Yeldon and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips. This is now the second straight week that Harrison Phillips is inactive while Justin Zimmer, who spent most of the season on the practice squad, will be active.

The biggest news though is that cornerbacks Tre’Davious White and Cam Lewis are active. Both players were questionable and it would make sense that these two would be the starters this week with Josh Norman out due to a hamstring injury.

In addition, the coaching staff will likely rotate in Dane Jackson and Siran Neal on the outside with Cam Lewis.

The other big positive for the Buffalo Bills this week is that linebacker Matt Milano will be returning. He has missed the past two weeks due to a pec injury suffered against the Las Vegas Raiders and was questionable for this game.

This will certainly help a defense that has struggled this past week and the return of Milano should limit what New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon is able to do as a pass catcher.
