After yet another demoralizing and disappointing defeat to the Chiefs last week, the Buffalo Bills have lost their last two contests and look to right the ship against the Jets in Week 7.

Although the Buffalo Bills have lost two games in a row, these two losses were to teams that are likely going to be at the top of the playoff conversation for the AFC. With that being said, the reason for concern from Bills fans and national media regarding the Bills is how they lost these past two games. Two weeks ago against the Titans, the Bills struggled to defend against the pass, and this past week they really struggled to have any resistance against the run.

Heading into Week 7, the Bills face a Jets team that is winless and considered far and away to be the worst team in the league to this point in the season. This matchup could not have come at a better time for the Bills. This is a game the Bills need to get back in rhythm on all three phases, but especially on the defensive side.

After being gashed for over 200 yards on the ground last week, the Bills need to establish that last week’s performance was an anomaly caused by a defensive game plan to drop 7-8 players into coverage in fear of Patrick Mahomes. In Week 7, the Bills can afford to have a much more neutral game plan on defense without an overwhelming threat in the passing or running game without Le’Veon Bell on the Jets this time around.
