For the second straight day, the Buffalo Bills were without a number of starters including wide receiver John Brown.

The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice field Thursday ahead of their Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets. However, it is appearing more likely they will take the field without starting wide receiver John Brown.

Brown missed his second straight practice on Thursday due to a knee injury. He had just returned this past week against the Kansas City Chiefs after sitting out Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. The coaching staff will likely remain cautious with him and have him sit this week.

If Brown is not able to play, this should mean an expanded role for rookie Gabriel Davis who has played in place of the veteran wide receiver.

In addition to Brown, the Buffalo Bills were also without starting guard Cody Ford who suffered a knee injury against the Chiefs. However, there are some questions about who may replace Ford if he is not able to play.

The Bills released Quinton Spain on Wednesday, who would have been the likely choice for the team. There is also the potential that Jon Feliciano could return this week from the injured reserve from a pec injury suffered over the summer.

If Feliciano is not able to go, the Bills could move Daryl Williams inside to guard and play Ty Nsekhe at right tackle. Another option would be to play Ike Boettger or Ryan Bates at the left guard.

The good news is that Matt Milano once again was able to get back on the practice field after a limited practice on Wednesday. The hope is that he could return this week against the Jets after missing the past two games.
