After a terrible showing against the Tennessee Titans in week 5, the Buffalo Bills look to improve on Monday night as they face the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.

On a wacky week and an eventual Tuesday night football game, the Buffalo Bills came out as flat as anyone has seen so far this season. They opened up their first drive on a negative note after Josh Allen threw the ball slightly behind Andre Roberts on a deep dig route that hit his back shoulder, popped up in the air, and then got intercepted by Malcolm Butler for his first of two interceptions in the game. At that point, Bills fans should’ve known that the Bills were gonna be just a little off in this game.

With that being said, the Bills were more than just a little bit off in all three phases last week. Without Tre’Davious White, Levi Wallace, and Matt Milano, the Bills defense struggled to stop the pass all night. However, these injuries are no excuse for the final outcome considering the Titans were without two of their top pass catchers.

It was obvious that the defensive game plan was to sell out and stop Derrick Henry, but that left A.J. Brown and Jonnu Smith open just about all game. In addition, to the poor offensive and defensive play from the Bills, special teams were just as disappointing with poor punt coverage on a key 40-yard punt return by the Titans as well as Andre Roberts compounding mistakes by fumbling a kick off return.

Although the result of this game was far below expectations for the Bills, the Chiefs have also been struggling in their past two games. Firstly, in a relatively close matchup with a Cam Newton-less Patriots and then compounding that poor play against the Raiders last week who gave them their first loss of the season. Both the Chiefs and Bills will look to bounce back to form in Week 6.
