Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes

While they won’t be on the field at the same time, the marquee matchup is between the two franchises’ quarterbacks as Josh Allen will try to match the production of Patrick Mahomes.

These are two quarterbacks that have some of the strongest arms in the NFL and there was discussion this offseason about a potential throw-off. While this friendly competition likely won’t impact the outcome, it does highlight some of the similarities between the two quarterbacks.

Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and has found tremendous success to start the year in the form of an MVP award and then a Super Bowl MVP in consecutive years. He is off to another tremendous start with 1,374 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and one interception.

The reason this matchup is even being discussed is because of the development Josh Allen has shown this year. He has increased his completion percentage by over 10 points compared to last year to go along with 1,584 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and three interceptions.

While the Bills will be looking to see how they stack up as a franchise to the Chiefs, this will be a good individual test for Josh Allen and how he matches up with someone like Patrick Mahomes.
