Round 3: Derion Kendrick (CB, Clemson)

The Buffalo Bills need to address the cornerback position this offseason and find not only a starter opposite Tre’Davious White but add depth. In the game against the Tennessee Titans, it was apparent when they lose someone like Tre’Davious White, this group struggles even though Cam Lewis had a decent game.

A player like Derion Kendrick could make sense for the Bills if they add a veteran or another player in free agency. Kendrick made the switch from wide receiver to cornerback prior to the 2019 season and showed some flashes. He has continued to play well this season and in three games has one interception and three passes defended.

The wide receiver background certainly helps him in terms of tracking the ball and he should develop into a ball-hawking type cornerback. However, the coaching staff will need to be patient as he continues to learn the position. He could contribute as a rookie but the expectation should be him becoming a starter in his second or third year.
