This is where Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen should be in the MVP race after Week 5.
The first four games couldn’t have gone better for the Buffalo Bills, and specifically quarterback Josh Allen. He started the year with three straight games over 300 passing yards and in total had 1,326 passing yards with 12 passing touchdowns and one interception.
However, in his last game against the Titans he wasn’t nearly as sharp and finished the game with 263 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
In previous weeks, I included five players however the player that was number five, Dak Prescott, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury. With that said, these are the four players likely in contention for the MVP now after Week 5 and where they may rank.
4. Patrick Mahomes (QB, Kansas City Chiefs)
Last Week: 4
Among the four quarterbacks, two of them suffered their first loss of the season and for Patrick Mahomes, it keeps him at fourth. While Mahomes did throw for 340 yards had three total touchdowns and one interception, he also wasn’t nearly as accurate as he has been previously completing just over 51% of his passes against the Las Vegas Raiders.
This week is a big test for Mahomes as he is facing off against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night. While Allen’s stats on the year are better than Mahomes, a big performance from Mahomes could be enough to vault him up these rankings.
