Linebackers

For the second time this year, the Buffalo Bills were without starting linebacker Matt Milano. While, Tyrel Dodson did a decent job replacing him, finishing with seven total tackles, he can’t replicate what Milano brings in terms of pass defense.

The Titans certainly were able to take advantage of this and Jonnu Smith would finish with five receptions, 40 yards and two touchdowns. The absence of Milano is a huge loss for this defense that is hard to overcome.

Secondary

While the Buffalo Bills secondary has struggled this year, and they did again this week against the Titans, this was under different circumstances. They knew they would be without Levi Wallace early last week when he was placed on injured reserve. However, it was a bit surprising when Tre’Davious White, who missed practice with a back injury, was also inactive.

This was a tremendous loss for this team because it forced Josh Norman to cover A.J. Brown, which was a mismatch the Titans exploited.

There is plenty to work on here but the focus right now has to be getting Tre’Davious White back on the field before they can fully evaluate this group.
