Running Back

This appeared to be a great matchup to get the run game going that has been pretty non-existent to start the year. The Buffalo Bills have not had a single player break 100 rushing yards yet this year and as a team had only done it once.

The Titans have been one of the worst teams against the run and were without arguably their best defensive lineman in Jeffrey Simmons. However, Devin Singletary and T.J. Yeldon couldn’t get much going, and once again the Buffalo Bills finished under 100 rushing yards with only 95.

In games where Josh Allen struggles, like this one, the Buffalo Bills need a strong run game. When they don’t have that, this offense becomes very stagnant.

Wide Receiver

The Buffalo Bills were without starting wide receiver John Brown however this meant rookie Gabriel Davis got a chance to see plenty of playing time. What has been a consistent theme, the Bills wide receiver wasn’t as sharp as they have been in previous weeks.

Stefon Diggs led the team with 10 receptions for 106 yards with Gabriel Davis second at five receptions for 58 yards. Cole Beasley was third with six receptions for 53 yards, which all came in the second half.

One thing that was seemingly missing from this offense, and this may have been due to the absence of John Brown or how the Titans’ defense was playing them, but the Buffalo Bills were able to try many deep pass attempts.

This has been a big part of their offense to start the year and they are going to need to find that again with a likely shootout up next against the Chiefs
