This is a breakdown of the snap counts for the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 against the Tennesee Titans.

The snap counts for Week 5 are going to look a little different because this game was not close at the end as the Buffalo Bills lost 42-16 to the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday night. Due to the lopsided matchup, the Bills elected to remove a number of starters on offense on the final drive which affects some of the snap percentages.

With that said, there were a few takeaways from this last game for the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo Bills Offense

The big change was at wide receiver as John Brown missed this week due to an injury. This opened the door for rookie Gabriel Davis to get more playing time and he certainly did by playing every offensive snap. While it wasn’t his best game, he was still productive finishing with the second-most receiving yards on the Bills.

Another interesting note is that typically when Zack Moss has missed games as he did again last night against the Titans, Devin Singletary has gotten an overwhelming amount of work. However, against the Titans that wasn’t the case as he was on the field for 62% of the snaps and the coaching staff had T.J. Yeldon playing 28 snaps or 39% of the offensive plays.

Buffalo Bills Defense

The Buffalo Bills were without All-Pro corner Tre’Davious White for this contest and his absence was certainly felt. The coaching staff turned to Cam Lewis, who played 98% of the defensive snaps, in place of the injured White.

For this past game against the Titans, the Bills didn’t rotate as much at the defensive end as Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison played 62% and 67% of the defensive snaps respectively.

One player who is struggling, and it showed again last night is second round pick A.J. Epenesa. He was on the field for only four snaps and in that limited time was called for a false start. He also was out-snapped by Darryl Johnson, who played 11 snaps against the Titans.
