The Buffalo Bills had seven players sit out of practice on Wednesday ahead of Week 5.
The Buffalo Bills once again start the week out with a rather lengthy injury report as the team had seven players not practice on Wednesday. Among those players was cornerbacks Tre’Davious White and Levi Wallace, kick returner Andre Roberts, linebacker Matt Milano, wide receiver John Brown, guard Cody Ford and defensive end Jerry Hughes.
The biggest concern for the Bills at this point has to be linebacker Matt Milano. He was only in his second game back in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders after a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1 against the New York Jets.
He was forced to leave this past week’s game after suffering a pec injury. Sean McDermott described Milano as week to week and this typically means they will miss at least one week.
If Milano is not able to play this week, it will most likely be Tyrel Dodson replacing him in the starting lineup. Dodson started Week 2 in place of Tremaine Edmunds but could play outside linebacker if needed.
In addition to Milano, Levi Wallace also suffered an injury that McDermott described as week to week on Monday. The injury appears to be a little more serious as the team announced they placed Wallace on injured reserve and signed Cam Lewis. He will now miss at a minimum the next three games.
This now opens the door for cornerback Josh Norman to remain the starter, who just came off injured reserve himself last week.
The good news from this injury report is that franchise quarterback Josh Allen was able to practice in full. He did leave for a brief moment against the Raiders after falling awkwardly on his left shoulder.
The injury doesn’t appear to have any lingering effects as he had no limitations during practice. The Buffalo Bills will have two more practices before Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
