Defensive Line

The Buffalo Bills defensive line stepped up in a big way against the run. One week after giving up 167 rushing yards, the Bills defensive line was tasked with slowing down one of the good young running backs in the NFL, Josh Jacobs.

For the most part they did an excellent job and limited Jacobs to only 48 rushing yards and only 86 total rushing yards for the Raiders offense.

The Bills defensive front also started to get some pressure on Derek Carr, especially in the second half. They were able to sack Carr twice, once by Quinton Jefferson and once by Darryl Johnson. This is certainly commendable considering Carr had only been sacked five times all year and the Raiders have a pretty good offensive line.

Entering this year, the defensive line was expected to be a strength for this defense and that is certainly holding true.
