Prince Amukamara
Through the first four games, teams have found great success targeting their slot receiver as Taron Johnson has struggled this year. The first three weeks of the season, opposing starting slot receivers averaged 7.6 receptions, 99.3 receiving yards with Cooper Kupp catching a touchdown in Week 3.
This past week in the Bills game against the Raiders, Hunter Renfrow finished second on the team in receptions (5) and receiving yards (54) including a 37 yard reception.
This is why a player like Prince Amukamara makes sense for the Buffalo Bills. He has experience at the nickel position and could push Taron Johnson for the starting job. However, he also has played outside in his career and could be good depth at the position since Levi Wallace was also considered week-to-week by Sean McDermott on Monday.
This wouldn’t be too surprising considering the Buffalo Bills have already been reportedly interested in adding Amukamara. It will see if the recent injury to Wallace and the play of Taron Johnson is enough for the Buffalo Bills to make a roster move.
