These are three free agents the Buffalo Bills should consider adding this week.
The Buffalo Bills are off to a great start to the 2020 season with four straight wins thanks to a high powered offense. This is not something many expected but Josh Allen has developed not only into a franchise quarterback but an MVP contender.
While the Bills are undefeated, there are still some concerning trends that have developed over the first quarter of the 2020 season. The defense in particular has not played at a level many have expected over the past few seasons. They are also dealing with a number of injuries that could force Brandon Beane to look at potentially adding some players who are still free agents.
These are three players that are available that could be a big boost for the Buffalo Bills this season.
Darron Lee
The Buffalo Bills had brought linebacker Darron Lee in for a tryout prior to the season but didn’t sign him. The reason the Bills may not have signed him was there was a four game suspension looming for the former first round pick.
However, Lee would be eligible to return if a team were to sign him this week in Week 5. This could be perfect timing as the Bills could be without Matt Milano, who suffered a pec injury against the Raiders. On Monday, Sean McDermott said Milano was week-to-week, which has typically meant that a player would miss at least one game.
The Bills will turn to Tyrel Dodson as the replacement for Milano but with Del’Shawn Phillips already missing the past two weeks due to injury, depth at the position is tested.
A player like Lee, who was a former first round pick, could be great depth at the position. He also has experience on special teams and if he doesn’t play much on defense could contribute there.
