The Buffalo Bills had three starters sit out Wednesday’s practice ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice field Wednesday after their exciting come from behind win over the Los Angeles Raiders 35-32 on Sunday. The biggest injury from that game was starting wide receiver John Brown, who couldn’t finish due to a calf injury.

That calf injury appears to still be an issue as the wide receiver missed practice on Wednesday. In addition to Brown, left tackle Dion Dawkins didn’t practice due to a shoulder injury, safety Micah Hyde missed practice due to an ankle injury.

While not officially listed as a starter, Quinton Jefferson has seen the most snaps at defensive tackle but also missed practice due to a foot injury. It isn’t surprising to see Dawkins or Hyde sit out as both also suffered injuries but were able to return on Sunday.

If Brown isn’t able to play, it should mean an increase in playing time for rookie Gabriel Davis who has had a tremendous start to his rookie season.

At this point, it isn’t too concerning to see these players sitting out, especially considering they did have to come out of the game due to injuries, and the Buffalo Bills are likely trying to be cautious. However, the next few practices are worth watching their participation ahead of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The good news for the Bills is that Dawson Knox, who missed last week with a concussion, was able to practice in full. Rookie running back Zack Moss also missed last week with a toe injury and he was able to practice on a limited basis.

These are two good signs for their potential availability this Sunday as the Buffalo Bills travel west to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
