Stock Down: Quinton Spain

One player that saw his stock drop, and pretty significantly, was starting left guard Quinton Spain. The Bills added Spain last offseason and he earned the starting left guard job. He would not only go on to start every game at left guard but also played every offensive snap last year.

This year, Spain once again started at left guard in Week 1 and played every offensive snap. However, last week against the Miami Dolphins he started to get rotated out with Cody Ford stepping in at left guard.

Then on Sunday against the Rams, Spain did not start for the first time with the Buffalo Bills and didn’t even play a single offensive snap. The Bills elected to go with Cody Ford at left guard and Brian Winters at right guard.

In the coming weeks, the guard position is going to be worth watching as Jon Feliciano will be returning and the Bills will have four starting-caliber guards for two starting positions. Quinton Spain’s starting days aren’t necessarily over but they are definitely in jeopardy.
