The Buffalo Bills have already ruled two key offensive pieces out for Week 3.

The Buffalo Bills will have to wait until Sunday to find out if they will have Tremaine Edmunds and/or Matt Milano back in their starting lineup for Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams. However, they do already know that tight end Dawson Knox and running back Zack Moss will not be available for this game.

This certainly wasn’t a huge surprise for either player as neither was able to practice this week. Dawson Knox is currently in the concussion protocol after suffering the injury against the Miami Dolphins. The Buffalo Bills will now turn to Tyler Kroft as their starting tight end in this game with Lee Smith and Reggie Gilliam also seeing an increase in playing time.

The absence of Zack Moss is certainly a bigger loss because he has been much more involved in this offense than Dawson Knox or the tight end position in general. He has essentially been splitting the work with Devin Singletary.

The run game, in general, has been underwhelming to this point but with Devin Singletary now getting the full workload he could try to regain some of what he showed at the end of last season when he was the team’s primary running back.

The good news for the Buffalo Bills is that Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds are both questionable for this game. Milano, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, was a full participant in practice on Friday. Tremaine Edmunds, who has a shoulder injury, was limited in practice for the third straight day.

The return of one, or especially if both are able to go Sunday, will be a tremendous boost for this defense as they go up against a good Rams offense.

The only other person to recieve an injury designation was cornerback Taron Johnson, who practiced in full on Friday after missing Wednesday’s practice and being limited on Thursday.
