More counters and stretch run plays with Devin Singeltary
In terms of slowing Aaron Donald against the run, the best way for the Buffalo Bills to do this is to get Singletary out on the edge with stretch runs. This plays to Singletary’s strengths but also keeps the play away from the Rams’ defensive tackle.
This can also work on counter runs or even pulling a guard to create misdirection that can slow down Aaron Donald. Primarily the focus for the Buffalo Bills needs to be to force the Rams defensive tackle to think or hesitate for a second that can create some space.
There will be plenty of pressure on Devin Singletary in this game to produce. The second-year running back has been fairly quiet through the first two games. One of the reasons is the team hasn’t needed much from the run game with the way Josh Allen has been playing and two he has been splitting the work with Zack Moss.
Since Moss will be out for this game, Devin Singletary should expect to get almost the entire work at the running back position. Brian Daboll should try to call plays that get him on the edge and away from the middle of that defense this week.
