2. Josh Allen, QB (Buffalo Bills)

Most Buffalo Bills fans were hoping that Josh Allen would take that next step as a quarterback and a passer but I don’t believe anyone would have been able to predict this. The Buffalo Bills the past two years has been an offense that has relied on the run but the addition of Stefon Diggs has allowed Brian Daboll to institute a vertical pass game that really utilizes Allen’s big arm.

In the first two games, Allen leads the NFL in passing yards with 729 passing yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions. In Week 1 he had his first game with over 300 passing yards and followed it up with his first career game with over 400 passing yards.

The knock on Josh Allen so far has been the quality of the Buffalo Bills opponent. The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are not expected to compete for playoff spots anytime soon. However, if he is able to have another strong game this week against the Los Angeles Rams, it will solidify his case for being in the discussion for the MVP award.
