Buffalo Bills rush for over 175 yards

The Patriots have given the Bills a game plan to follow should they choose. They were able to pile up 217 yards on the ground with 75 of those coming from the quarterback. The Bills have the same personnel to take advantage of this part of their defense.

Josh Allen is as equal to or if not better than Cam Newton when comparing their abilities as a runner. Allen is younger which allows him to be more explosive at this point in their careers. The Bills are not shy to feed their quarterback the ball despite his fumbling issues. There is a belief that what he provides outshines the fumbles while he continues to correct the problem.

Having drafted two running backs in consecutive drafts, the Bills also have the backs to gain substantial yardage on the ground. Devin Singletary should be able to exploit the boundaries while Zack Moss pounds it between the tackles.

In Week 11 of the 2019 season, the Bills were able to get 168 yards on the ground. 75 of those came from Singletary with Allen chipping in another 56 yards. Frank Gore had 27 and at that point in the season he was wearing down, so expect Moss to contribute significantly more than that.

If you see Lee Smith active for this game, unlike Week 1, that could be a clear signal that the Bills will mirror the Patriots run-heavy game plan.

There is always a saying in the NFL that you attack an opponent in their weakest point until proven they can stop it. With the Miami Dolphins still adapting to new pieces on defense that weakness could very much still be in play this weekend.
