Buffalo Bills running back struggles

While the Buffalo Bills had the passing game going, the rushing attack and specifically the running backs, really struggled to get anything going. Josh Allen was the team’s leading rusher with 57 yards on 14 attempts but Devin Singletary and Zack Moss combined for 18 rushing attempts for 41 yards.

This was surprising for an offense that was near the top of the league in rushing last year. Especially considering they had Singletary returning and the addition of Moss to replace Frank Gore would be an upgrade, considering where Gore is at his point in his career.

The biggest change and this certainly could have played a role, is the Bills had two new starters along their offensive line. Entering this game, the Buffalo Bills kept quiet who would be starting at right guard and tackle and elected to go with Cody Ford at guard, who was the Bills starting tackle last year, and Daryl Williams as their starting right tackle.

If the New York Jets are strongest in one area, it is their defensive line, and the Jets seemingly won the battle in the trenches. It will be interesting to see if the Bills can get the run game going against the Dolphins.
