Jason Croom

Another player who has been with the Buffalo Bills for a few years and was cut but the organization hopes to bring back is Jason Croom. The former University of Tennessee tight end joined the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and down the stretch, that year was their starting tight end.

However, injuries that cost him the entire year last season and the fact the team drafted Dawson Knox, pushed Croom down the depth chart. The team was reportedly trying to trade Croom leading up to the cut deadline but nothing materialized and they released him.

According to Aaron Wilson, even though there were trade rumors, the Buffalo Bills hope to bring him back if he clears waivers.

Similar to Davis Webb, this would be a smart move on the Buffalo Bills part. The team is already likely to be without Tommy Sweeney for a bit due to injury and considering Tyler Kroft‘s injury history, having an experienced tight end like Jason Croom on their practice squad makes perfect sense.
