These are three players that were not expected to be apart of the Buffalo Bills 53-man roster but made the roster.

On Saturday was roster cut down day for every team in the NFL, including the Buffalo Bills. Regardless of how many players were on the roster, most teams had around 80 players, they needed to cut the roster down to 53 players by 4 PM EST.

This year it was tough for fans to get a really good idea of who might make the team and who would be cut. The lack of access for fans to practice and no preseason games left many relying on reports of the media and what coaches were saying in press conferences.

This year, the Buffalo Bills were left with a number of tough decisions and for the most part, the team kept the expected player. However, there were also some players that didn’t get much coverage over the past month but made the 53-man roster.

One player that was a surprise, but at the same time wasn’t, was undrafted free agent Reggie Gilliam. He was the only UDFA rookie to make the roster and he seemed like he had an uphill battle at the start of training camp. However, Patrick DiMarco being placed on injured reserve, combined with a position switch to tight end, helped his chances to make the team.

These are three players though that surprisingly made the 53-man roster for the Buffalo Bills.
