Addition: Todd Davis

Release: Del’Shawn Phillips

The Buffalo Bills kept six linebackers on the roster but after their starting three of Tremaine Edmunds, A.J. Klein, and Matt Milano there is almost no experience. In fact the trio of Tyler Matakevich, Tyrel Dodson, and Del’Shawn Phillips have combined for 149 defensive snaps, all by Matakevich.

This is why the Buffalo Bills might be interested in bringing in a player like Todd Davis, who recently was cut by the Denver Broncos. He is only 28 years of age but has been the Broncos primary starter at inside linebacker over the past four years and started 59 games over that stretch.

He has been highly productive during that stretch as well with over 82 combined tackles each of the four seasons.

The experience he brings to the position room could be a nice boost for this defense and replacing Del’Shawn Phillips for him makes sense.
