Jason Croom

Another position the Buffalo Bills have some good depth is at tight end and Jason Croom is likely going to be the player who is the odd man out. It wasn’t that long ago that Croom was the Bills leading tight end and he finished the 2018 season with 22 receptions for 259 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Croom joined the Buffalo Bills in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and spent the year on the team’s practice squad. He had what can be described as a breakout year in 2018 before missing all last year due to injury.

Since Croom played a regular season for the Bills, the team has added players like Dawson Knox, Tyler Kroft and Tommy Sweeney who has surpassed him on the depth chart. This will likely force him off the roster and another team may try to take a flyer on him.

At 6’5″ and 259 pounds, Croom is an athletic tight end that can stretch the field which is something teams look for in today’s NFL. Similar to Duke Williams, it would certainly not be a high pick but could get a conditional pick in return.
