Zack Moss

After the Buffalo Bills selected Epenesa, they drafted running back Zack Moss out of Utah in the third round. When he was drafted the expectation was likely that he would be that complimentary back to Devin Singletary, who had an excellent finish to his rookie season last year.

However, Singletary isn’t a big running back while Moss can provide a little more power to the position. That is exactly what he has shown to this point in training camp during Tuesday’s practice, according to Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News.

"Moss bulldozed through a couple of would-be tacklers on his way to the end zone, capping what was a solid practice. It’s worth noting the Bills still aren’t tackling to the ground, but it looks like Moss will be a handful when they do."

An interesting point that is not often discussed for running backs is in pass protection and picking up the blitz. This is something Frank Gore has done an excellent job in and that will certainly be missed in this offense this year.

However, Sean McDermott talked about this for Zack Moss and he said the young running back has done a good job in this area.

If Zack Moss continues to develop in this area, he should be able to earn more snaps and get on the field more this season.
