Shaquem Griffin

Another outside linebacker that could be available through a trade is Seattle Seahawks’ linebacker Shaquem Griffin. He was a fifth round pick by the Seahawks in 2018 but has struggled to find regular playing time at linebacker and since they just drafted Jordyn Brooks in the first round this year, it didn’t get any easier.

Griffin would bring a similar skill set as Reddick as an outside linebacker that has the skill set to be an edge rusher in this 4-3 defense. That is how Matt Miller of Bleacher Report viewed him coming out of college in his scouting report when he wrote:

"Now, he’s an above-average athlete who has all of the movement skills to be a weak-side ‘backer in a 4-3 defense"

Even if Griffin doesn’t make that transition and become a full-time starter in place of Lorenzo Alexander, he has been a key special teams contributor for the Seahawks, playing close to 50% of the special teams snaps the past two years. He could certainly be a key piece for this group over the next two years.
