In a recent film breakdown with NFL.com, the Buffalo Bills cornerback showed why he is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

It is hard to imagine after the way Tre’Davious White has played over the past three years that there was actually four cornerbacks taken before the Buffalo Bills selected him 27th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

However, Tre’Davious White has proven plenty of people wrong and is coming off one of the best years of his career last season. He earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl, first selection as a first-team All-Pro and was tied for the league lead in interceptions with six.

Recently, White sat down with Kurt Warner and Brian Bollinger breaking down film and it is clear the little things and the attention to detail is what is setting him apart at the position.

The first part of the video discusses his matchup with Odell Beckham Jr., who is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and he discusses imposing his will during the game. One of the ways he does that is making it a point to land on the wide receiver to make his presence known.

Another thing that sets Tre’Davious White apart is that he is a travel corner, essentially following the opposing offenses best wide receiver where ever they may line up. He discusses having to guard Amari Cooper in the game on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys.

It was interesting to hear him describe the difference between guarding an ‘X’ wide receiver versus guarding the ‘Z’. While Amari Cooper is the top wide receiver for the Cowboys, the fact that he doesn’t line up on the line of scrimmage creates its own set of challenges for Tre’Davious White.

It is remarkable the little things that may go unnoticed during the course of a game that Tre’Davious White breaks down in this video. This is why the Buffalo Bills cornerback has quickly rose to be in the discussion of the best at his position.
