Buffalo Bills: 4 free agents to target at this point in training camp
Alec Ogletree
The Buffalo Bills are set at two of their starting linebacker positions with Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano. The third position, which was previously manned by Lorenzo Alexander, will be up for grabs between A.J. Klein and Vosean Joseph.
After the starters, the team is very limited in experience and a player like Alec Ogletree could make sense. The former first round pick by the Rams has spent the past two seasons with the New York Giants. He has experience as a middle linebacker but also in a leadership role as a captain as well as wearing the green dot, which means he would get the play calls from the sideline.
The biggest concern for Ogletree is certainly durability as he has not been able to play a full 16-game season the past three years. He also can struggle in pass protection at times.
However, at this point in the offseason it is rare to find a player like Ogletree still available with the experience he has. He could be a great insurance policy if the Bills were to be without Tremaine Edmunds at any point this coming season.
