These are some of the top Buffalo Bills news stories over the last week in the latest Monday Morning Charge.

Tre’Davious White has opted-in to play the 2020 NFL season after contemplating sitting out due to coronavirus concerns.

The Buffalo Bills star cornerback had previously debated on being one of the many players to opt-out of the upcoming NFL season much like defensive teammate, Star Lotulelei. White had noted publicly that he was having a tough time making his decision due to the fact that he wanted to put his family’s wellbeing at the forefront and also noted he was not happy with some of the backlash that he was receiving on his stance. Additionally, he announced that his girl’s grandfather has passed away previously due to COVID, furthering his concerns.

After the NFL’s deadline on Thursday at 4 PM had passed, it was learned that White had elected not to opt-out and play the season.

If White had opted-out, he would have left Buffalo a glaring hole at the cornerback position. Though they have brought in pieces through the offseason, such as former Pro Bowler, Josh Norman, White’s absence would have been noted.

With White readying-up for the season, Buffalo Bills players, like Norman, believe that they have the making of the best secondary in the league. That belief is due in large part to White coming off his best season at the NFL level, receiving a Pro Bowl nod and being named first-team All-Pro after recording six interceptions, 17 defended passes and a pair of forced fumbles.

Bills fans can breathe a sigh of relief now and be assured that the (arguable) best cornerback in the league will be lining up in Week 1.
