Tight End (4)

Dawson Knox, Tyler Kroft, Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney

The tight end position is pretty straight forward and the Buffalo Bills are likely to keep four tight ends heading into 2020. At the top is Dawson Knox and Tyler Kroft, two tight ends who can both catch the ball and block pretty well. These two tight ends are likely to get a majority of the snaps this coming season.

After these two will be Lee Smith, who doesn’t provide much in the pass game but is a blocking specialist. He is towards the end of his career but with Singletary and Moss, the Bills could lean more on their run game and this is where Smith provides the most value.

The final spot likely comes down to Tommy Sweeney and Jason Croom. While Croom had a good end to 2018, Sweeney is the more well rounded tight end and is that development type tight end who could take over Kroft or Smith’s role in the future.
