Defensive End (4)

The Buffalo Bills carried four defensive ends last year and they keep that same number this season. However, this means that seventh round pick last year, Darryl Johnson, is one of the final cuts and a potential candidate to add to their practice squad.

Similar to offensive line, one of the reasons the Buffalo Bills are able to keep only four defensive ends is because of Quinton Jefferson, who is listed as a defensive tackle, but also can play defensive end in certain situations.

If the Bills want to keep Darryl Johnson on the game day roster, the team would likely release Trent Murphy to create the roster spot. Murphy is entering the final year of his deal and would result in over $8 million in cap savings if he were released.
