Most teams typically have nine or even 10 offensive linemen on their 53-man roster. However the Buffalo Bills have enough versatility to enter the season with eight thanks to Evan Boehm and Ryan Bates on the roster.

As noted previously, these roster projections are based on the assumption that the Bills will place Jon Feliciano on injured reserve. He is expected to miss between 4-8 games due to the injury so to create an extra roster space this is a move that makes sense.

One name that is not on this list is Ty Nsekhe, a veteran tackle who the Buffalo Bills added last year. While Nsekhe played well in limited time, he is older at 34 years of age and does carry a substantial cap hit at $5.2 million. While cutting him would result in $2 million of dead cap, it would free up $3.2 million that could be rolled over to next year.

The only reason this makes sense is due to the addition of Daryl Williams, who was a second-team All-Pro in 2017. He is likely fully recovered from a knee injury in 2018 and could be that primary backup at either tackle position if the need were to arise.
