Dawson Knox

There is no question that Dawson Knox exceeded expectations as a rookie with 28 receptions, 388 receiving yards and two touchdowns. These stats won’t jump off the page but when considering the fact that Knox was considered very raw with plenty to learn entering the NFL Draft, everyone on the Buffalo Bills should be pleased with his performance.

Entering his second season, Knox will need to build off that rookie year and has plenty of room for improvement. One of those areas is being consistent in catching the ball and avoiding those drops. Knox is well aware of this and talked recently about what he has done to improve in this area.

The reasons why Dawson Knox is one of the players under the most pressure is two-fold. The first reason is that the tight end position is very deep and while his roster spot is not in jeopardy, the coaching staff does have options if Knox continues to struggle. Most notably the Bills could turn to Tyler Kroft, or create a timeshare between the two players.

The other reason is that Josh Allen has more weapons, specifically Stefon Diggs and Zack Moss, so targets could be limited. It will be important for Knox to capitalize on these targets and not let these opportunities fall through his hands.
